Overview

This course is designed for international students who have an unconditional offer for a degree programme at the University of Dundee, but wish to improve their academic study skills before starting their degree.

Aims of the Programme

The programme is designed to:

enable students to use a range of the principal skills and practices associated with university study
enable students to adapt to British university life.

Programme Content

The programme of study consists of the following modules:

Writing Skills for Undergraduate Assignments
Writing Skills for Postgraduate Research and Study
Skills for Academic Study
Effective Communication Skills

Methods of Assessment

The programme is assessed through a combination of coursework, submission of a written assignment and an oral presentation.

Entry Requirements

You must have an unconditional offer for a degree programme at the University of Dundee.
