This is a part-time (typically three hours per week) course for matriculated University of Dundee students whose first language is not English. It runs for ten weeks in each of the two semesters.
How to Apply: Registration for the programme is by means of an introduction and placement test. This will be held at 10am and 11am on Thursday 10 January in Computer Suite C in the basement of the Tower Building. There is no need to pre-register but you can reserve a place on one of the two test sessions. The only thing you need is your matriculation number. If you have matriculated this will be on your card; if you have not matriculated, you can find it on the letter from the University offering you a place.
Fees : There is no charge to students for these classes.
The programme is designed to support international students, undergraduate and postgraduate, in their first year of study at Dundee (though we also accept students in subsequent years).

More specifically, the English Support Programme:
The content of the programme varies slightly from semester to semester, but there are always classes in the following key areas:
There is no formal assessment in the English Support Programme.
Students receive regular feedback from staff. Students who take writing courses are expected to submit regular short assignments and receive detailed written feedback on these, and most students who take speaking classes will make seminar presentations, on which they will also receive written feedback.
