School of Humanities Scholarships

The School of Humanities is offering a number of scholarships to applicants for its Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes. You will find more information about eligibility, deadlines and how to apply below.

Postgraduate International

Arts & Humanities Research Institute (AHRI) Taught Postgraduate Scholarship

£2,000 Scholarship towards tuition fee for international students entering School of Humanities MLitt programmes.

School of Humanities Alumni Scholarship

12% off tuition fee for School of Humanities graduates (including joint MA) entering MLitt programmes.

Politics Postgraduate Scholarship

£1,000 Scholarship towards tuition fee for students entering MLitt International Politics & Security.

School of Humanities Research Postgraduate Scholarship

£4,000 Scholarship towards tuition fee for international students entering School of Humanities research degrees.

How to Apply

Once you have been given an offer to study in the School of Humanities at the University of Dundee, we will send you an email telling you how to apply for a Scholarship.

You must complete the form, as soon as possible, and return it as per the instructions provided.

We will notify you after the closing date, to let you know whether you have been successful in being awarded a Scholarship or not. 

Deadline

The closing date for Scholarship applications for courses starting September 2012 is 1st July 2012, and for courses starting in January 2013 the closing date is 15th November 2012.

Restrictions

If you are being sponsored or are receiving a discount on your fees due to an articulation agreement, then you cannot apply for a University of Dundee Academic School scholarship.

You can apply for several scholarships but only one Scholarship towards tuition fees will be awarded.

5% discount on advance payment of tuition fees

A 5% discount on tuition fees is applicable for international applicants who pay the full amount (for the year), in advance, by a given deadline. Please visit our 5% discount webpage for full details.

Postgraduate Home/EU

Arts & Humanities Research Institute (AHRI) Taught Postgraduate Scholarship

£1,000 Scholarship towards tuition fee for Home/EU students entering School of Humanities MLitt programmes (£500 if studying part time).

School of Humanities Alumni Scholarship

12% off tuition fee for School of Humanities graduates (including joint MA) entering MLitt programmes.

Politics Postgraduate Scholarship

£1,000 Scholarship towards tuition fee for students entering MLitt International Politics & Security.

School of Humanities Research Postgraduate Scholarship

£1,500 Scholarship towards tuition fee for Home/EU students entering School of Humanities research degrees.

Centre for Archive & Information Studies (CAIS)/Philosophy Research Postgraduate Scholarship

£3,400 Scholarship towards tuition fee for Home/EU research student studying in CAIS (with Philosophical element to area of research).

£2,000 for each year of study for international applicants to School of Humanities undergraduate degrees, based on academic merit

These scholarships will be awarded for academic excellence, and are worth £1,500 payable for the first year of your course.

These are applicable to all MA full time undergraduate degree courses in the School of Humanities.
