This module acknowledges that wound healing can be a complex process. You are tasked to explore this phenomenon in an objective manner. You will be required to produce a holistic assessment of a patient with a specific wound.
To provide the student with knowledge and understanding of wound care to enable them to manage effectively a patient's wound.

The module assessment is practice focused and aims to facilitate the development of professional practice. Students are encouraged to engage with self-assessment activities throughout the learning experience. Formative assessment enables students to develop practice and academic process skills through tutor feed-back.
A text-based study guide is used to support learning for this module. The study guide helps the student make essential links between theory and practice and prepare for the module assessment. A dynamic tutorial support system operates with a tutor link to the module. Students are encouraged to use the tutorial system according to their need.
This module is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialling Centre (ANCC).
First level registered nurses in the UK or overseas equivalent for BN and BNPC. For MPC - students require to have a health-related first degree.
