Overview

This module is designed to offer the student a practical basis for understanding and implementing clinical supervision. The main focus is on a practical framework which can facilitate a realistic approach to clinical supervision within the students own organisational and cultural context. The outcome of these deliberations will be the development of a flexible model that is appropriate to the student's clinical environment.

Aims of the Module

To explore the concepts of clinical supervision, in the current context of your area of practice.

Module Content

This module explores the concept of Clinical Supervision, set in the current context of the nursing and health visiting professions. It introduces a model for clinical supervision that is flexible and responsive to different local situations and can therefore be used in all clinical areas in both hospital and community settings.
