The paper, entitled: "Anglo-American capitalism: the role and potential role of social accounting" was authored by David Collison, Gwen Hannah, and Lorna Stevenson of the School of Business, and Colin Dey (a former colleague who is now at the University of Stirling).
The "High Commendation" was awarded by the editors and members of the advisory board of Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal (AAAJ), one of the discipline's leading academic journals. Reflecting the inter-disciplinary orientation of the journal, the awards are named in memory of Mary Parker Follett (1868-1933). The foundation which bears her name describes her as a "a visionary and pioneering individual in the field of human relations, democratic organization, and management".
