Partnerships
We already enjoy excellent links with professional accountancy and finance bodies, other universities and individual researchers across the globe. We also have strong links with local and national businesses, schools and colleges. However, we would like to extend these links further.

Consultancy & Professional Development (CPD)
We can offer:
- Consultancy and/or professional development courses. The precise details of such activities should be determined by your specific needs; we will work with you. While world class standards can be assumed, prior discussion will help to ascertain the scope and nature of any envisaged consultancy work. We can be very flexible in relation to undertaking a project and/or course to serve your needs - i.e., part-time; web-based, off-campus, etc.
- To transfer knowledge of the latest research findings in areas pertaining to accounting and finance, as well as in more general business themes. We can encourage you and your colleagues to think - critically, differently, and 'out-of-the-box'.
- Professionally qualified staff, many of whom also have many years' business experience. Our staff possess many years' experience in undertaking and writing-up high-quality research; and we also have access to a myriad of collaborating experts across Scotland, the UK and internationally.
What consultancy and development courses can we offer?
- Maybe your finance department has a project that it wishes to undertake but never gets done because of shortage of time - can we undertake this project for you?
- Alternatively, it may be a feasibility report or a corporate history that you need researching and writing. There are many possibilities.
- What about development education or training? Maybe you would like your managers to have a grasp for basic accounting techniques or the essential building blocks of finance?
- Maybe your specialist accountants need to be updated on the latest developments in international financial reporting?
- What about advice on implementing accounting or other organisational change?
- Possibly your employees need a refresher on the main principles of corporate governance, or corporate social reporting and ethics?
- Or, maybe your requirement is as specific as grasping the fundamentals of Islamic accounting or financial accounting of emerging economies?
