Msc Ph.DRania Kamla is a Lecturer of Accounting in the school. After graduating from the University of Damascus in 1994 with an honours degree in accounting, she began working for Al-Furat Petroleum company in Syria (a joint venture with Shell Development and the largest company in Syria at the time), where she became the Chief Accountant there. In 2000, Rania embarked on doing an MSc in International Accounting and Financial Studies at Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh where she also started her PhD in 2001. In 2004, she was appointed as a lecturer at Aberdeen University and in 2005 she was awarded a PhD in accounting from Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh. Rania joined the University of Dundee, School of Accounting & Finance in September 2006.
