Seabraes accommodates 411 students from the UK and around the world. Flats 1 to 32 were built in 1995 and comprises 32 seven-bedroom flats.

Each flat has a fully fitted kitchen with a dining and sitting area and a Common Room is available on site for the benefit of all Seabraes residents.

The beds in this site have recently been changed to Small Doubles (and there are some Doubles) – we're working on updating our photos and videos.

In your kitchen

Our spacious modern kitchens provide plenty of space for cooking, dining and socialising. They come furnished with:

You'll need to bring

Plates, bowls, cutlery, pots and cooking utensils, dishcloth and cleaning materials.

You can get all of these things in local supermarkets, but your new flatmates might have already brought some items which they're happy to share. 

In your bedroom

Your en-suite bedroom has all the space and furniture you'll need. This includes:

  • Most rooms have a small double bed with mattress. Some rooms have a double bed. (Your offer will tell you the size of your bed, but double bedding will be fine for both).

You'll need to bring 

Bedding: Sheets, pillows and duvets can easily be bought at supermarkets and department stores in Dundee, or you can bring them from home.

Alternatively, you can buy a bedding pack (with duvet, pillow, fitted sheet, pillowcase and duvet cover) from Sanctuary Students for £35.

Parking

Seabraes has a limited number of permit spaces, with access via a gate. To buy a permit, please contact Sanctuary reception during Freshers' Week. Permits are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Essentials and shopping

The City Campus is a ten minute walk to the majority of city centre shops. Plus with the opening of the new Seabraes Pedestrian Bridge it's now just a 10 minute walk to Tesco Extra. The DUSA Premier Shop provides essential shopping right on campus, and the independent local shops of Perth Road are just a fifteen minute walk from your door.
