Mediator Practitioners' Group

The EDR Practitioners' Group will meet every 6 weeks, subject to individual diaries and availabilities. The sessions are based on the premise of co-mediation (ie mediations will be carried out by 2 mediators working in partnership)

Confirmation of the dates for Practitioners' Group sessions is shown below. The meetings will normally be held in one of the River Rooms on the 9th Floor, Tower Building or in the Board Room, Incubator Unit (DUI, James Lindsay Place).

Themes for the period January to December 2011 are now available below. There will be a pool of invited parties both internal and external, to act as role players in a mediation. A structure and scenarios will be circulated prior to each session.

From the practice session, the Group aims to develop a EDR model booklet and toolkit based on our practice experience and different training origins. The practice session will also be used for feedback points by co-mediators based on the identification of generic learning points from actual mediations.

External training events are available for University of Dundee accredited mediators. Contact Fiona O'Donnell if you are interested in any of them.
