Born and raised in Dundee, Keith studied at the University of Dundee gaining an LLB and Diploma in Legal Practice in the early 1980s, following which he completed his legal training in Edinburgh with Henderson Boyd Jackson WS (now HBJ Gateley Wareing). He gained corporate experience with Edinburgh Financial Trust and the British Linen Bank, and then held a series of posts as company secretary with Lilley plc, Jetstream Aircraft Ltd and Dawson International plc. More recently he acted as Chief Legal Counsel (Europe) for Franklin Templeton Global Investors Ltd and as the Director (Legal & Compliance) for Martin Currie Investment Management Ltd.
Keith's core strengths are in the areas of compliance, risk management, company formation and management, and he has significant experience of working with Boards of Directors, providing advice on corporate and commercial transactions and agreements. He also has an interest in and experience of the operation of pension trusts.
