Jo Elliot is a merchant banker. He is now Senior
Adviser with his firm, Quayle Munro, which he joined in 1983 and where he was
Chief Executive for 5 years up to 2007. He built up the firm’s business

capital and management into public infrastructure and services, and acting
either for the public authority or for the private sector counterparty. He was a
Governor of Edinburgh College of Art for 13 years and is on the audit committee
of Glasgow University. In late 2010 he was appointed as the first chair of South
