Ann is a double graduate of Dundee University, BSc Hons Biochemistry (1973) and PhD (1976). She is currently a lay member of the Court and was elected as one of the two Graduates Councils Assessors.
After graduating Ann held two different prestigious 5-year research fellowships a Royal Society University Research Fellow and a Lister Institute Research Fellowship.
Ann worked in the University for 30 years and before she retired she was Professor of Molecular Medicine and Head of the Division of Maternal and Child Health Sciences. Ann has considerable experience of Court and its Committees. This is the second time she has been on Court as she was previously elected to Court by Senate. Ann is a certified mediator, trained by Core Mediation.
Ann is married to a graduate of this University and has two children. She is an Emeritus Professor and lives in Tayport.
