PREP - Preparatory Resit Exam Programme

PREP is a programme of workshops and tutorials that runs during the summer vacation prior to the resits. PREP has a simple aim to help you pass your resit examinations. PREP is highly recommended for students with resit examinations.

Applications for this programme open in May each year. If you are interested in finding out more about this programme prior to that time, please email aatu@dundee.ac.uk

Attendance on PREP will offer you the opportunity to:

  1. Immerse yourself in a positive learning experience
  2. Discuss your learning with an academic skills tutor
  3. Develop and further your own carefully planned revision timetable
  4. Learn new techniques that promote 'active' revision
  5. Work closely with other students in a similar situation
  6. Collaborate in learning and exchanging ideas
  7. Monitor your progress with your PREP personal tutor
  8. Practise and apply the best exam tactics
  9. Alleviate stress by sitting mock exams
  10. Prepare yourself for the exam diet
  11. Acquire the skills and strategies to improve your studying in future years

Our commitment:

  1. We cannot guarantee that you will pass the resits BUT we can help you ensure that you are as well prepared as you can be.
  2. We have devised a programme of workshops to help you optimise your study and exam technique.
  3. We will provide you with a personal, academic skills tutor to monitor your progress and encourage you.

Applications are taken from May until July each year

The PREP online application form is available to reserve a place. Please complete all three steps:

  1. personal details
  2. resit detail
  3. online payment (This option will be available from May to July of the resit year.)

Alternatively, you may apply in writing by printing the The PREP Information and application form and sending it with a cheque for £ 35 payable to University of Dundee to The PREP Office 3 Cross Row Ground Right University of Dundee Dundee DD1 9HN.
