Advance@Dundee is a website that covers the following eight key skills for undergraduate students that relate to way learning and teaching is delivered at university:
The site is a rich source of information and you should explore the 'trail' navigation to exploit it fully as a resource. Alternatively, use the A-Z index to browse for the topics you want.
One of Advance@Dundee's main advantages is that it was conceived and written by University of Dundee staff - academics and specialists from central services - for University of Dundee students. It is available day and night, 365 days a year. This means that you have a 'virtual tutor' available to you at all times. The site has more than 300 articles and links into web pages within the University and beyond. If you are a new user to the site the quick tips section will provide you with a brief overview of the available resources.
Currently, the site is being updated. Since is a useful resource available at all times for students to access online, rather than close the site down we are conducting the revision work behind the scenes so that students can continue to access it.
This resource is available to users day and night, 365 days a year. It is under review, but it has been decided to continue to make it available while the review is being conducted to ensure that this is in process so that students continue to be able to access this resource. The weblink www.dundee.ac.uk/advancedundee should be included within module handbooks. However, if you wish students to be directed to specific areas within the site, you should either add the specific URL for the area or trail at the appropriate handbook reference or direct students to the A-Z index which is accessible from the home page so that they can find what they need.
