Our staff tutors have extensive experience in all aspects of teaching and learning at university level. We offer an expertise that allows us to engage with the work of fellow academic colleagues and students from all of the University's Colleges.

While the main support programmes take students during the semester only, there are a limited number of academic skills support appointments available during vacation time. Please give at least one working week's notice for an appointment and please note that we cannot respond to urgent requests.
The Royal Literary Fund sponsored writing support programme is closed during the vacation periods.
Our Academic Support Programmes includes Academic Study Skills and Assignment Writing support. Help is offered by a 1 to 1 session with a tutor by appointment. Students can self-refer or, with the students' consent, be referred by a member of staff. However, not all staff will be aware of the names of the authorship of work they mark. Consequently, we have devised pre-printed stickers that can be attached to students' work so that the marker can recommend that they approach AATU for assistance with their writing.
